Steam Punk Author D.L Narrol

Steam Punk & Historical Author D.L. Narrol has joined the JUZDIZRTS Author Event!

Dianne Narrol was born in Toronto, Canada. She grew up relishing in adventure novels, like Clavell’s Shogun, and Joseph Conrad’s Heart of Darkness. She always wanted to write an adventure series that would depict the fine work of a classic sci-fi like Wells or Verne, and felt compelled to set her novels in the early 1900s. Little did she know she was setting the stage for a steampunk fantasy sci-fi adventure series. Her books are weighted with interpersonal relationships and untraditional romance. Her witty writing style has been compared to Kurt Vonnegut, says some of her readers. So much humor is threaded throughout her writing, along with earth-shattering action.

In 2011 her stand-alone romantic-fantasy When Beowulf Meets Kyla was released. Written in Kyla’s point of view, where she undergoes a trial of initiation in order to prove her love for her ancient Viking warrior. In 2009 her short story Kate’s Choice was chosen as part of a compilation of stories for The Caledon Collection published by Giant Beaver Press.

She has two degrees in urban social geography – that’s where her vivid physical descriptions come alive; where she has made several journeys around the world, placing her settings and characters.

* Currently working on Arctic Quest – the fourth novel of the Prehistoric Journey series.

Age of ChivalryAge of Chivalry – The First Expeditions: Book 3

The third steam punk adventure of the Prehistoric Journey series takes the four time travelers to the unexpected once again. It’s 1910, Captain Limmerick, Dr. Dimitrikov, Rosa, and Amoli mistakably time travel to 1487 England just after The War of the Roses. The queen is enchanted with Limmerick and has him knighted, where he must undergo challenging jousting tournaments, and prove his abilities as a skilled archer. He becomes entangled with the king’s rivals and finds himself in near death situations. He uses his position, as part of the king’s court, to rescue his friends from the castle dungeon, but struggles with the crown’s idea of chivalry.

During this voyage, they discover prehistoric mammals have been misplaced from when they tried to close the passage through time in Celtic Odyssey. The four time-travelers attempt to return to 1910, but another error occurs and for the first time, they travel to their future – 1970.

Science Fiction Author M.J. Moores

Crossover Science Fiction/Fantasy Author M.J. Moores has joined the JUZDIZRTS Author Event!

Imagine procrastination and stubborn perseverance getting together and procreating – that would be what M.J. faces when she looks in the mirror every day. Her stubborn mind-set has gotten her into trouble more often than she’d care to admit. Her love of reading and writing at a young age drew her to adventure books of all genera. While she currently enjoys writing science-fiction and fantasy, her focus is more on the internal journey her characters make as they learn about themselves and face their darkest fears – this might take place on another planet, on a university campus, or in a magical realm; but there’s always that touch of adventure to lend a dash of spice to her work.

Living in rural Ontario, Canada, M.J. divides her days with writing, editing, reviewing, chasing her young son around, and running a website to help new and emerging authors cut their teeth on the mountains of this big bad world. Occasionally, though, her body compels her to shove all that chaos aside and simply read a good book. Luckily, she has that procrastination thing under control now – at least most of the time.

“The JUZDIZRTS Author Event is my ‘baby.’ I developed the premiss over two years ago when I saw a need to help my fellow authors get the word out about their achievement(s) and celebrate one of the hardest things to accomplish – being an author.”

The Power of LoveThe Power of Love

There’s an old folk tale about a young mother who lost her child and is inconsolable. The wise man of the village tells her to go from house to house to find what everyone shares—and what everyone shares—is loss. It’s the universal experience.

Although we all will grieve the loss of our loved ones, we can learn how to reconnect with them. Through prayer and meditation, we can shift our awareness from the physical to the non-physical. We can witness firsthand that death is but an illusion. We can heal. We can find joy again. Author Heather Scavetta discovered that reality when she began developing her clairvoyant abilities after the death of her daughter, Elizabeth, in 2004.

In The Power of Love, Scavetta shares her personal journey of receiving visions and afterlife communication from her daughter, loved ones, and spirit guides who encourage her to persevere through her grief. Having no previous ability, Scavetta shows that opening up spiritual gifts is accessible to everyone. Through personal examples, she shares how to open your own psychic and mediumistic abilities, and she discusses the many ways spirit can reach us.

A story of celebration about the amazing and wonderful experiences that occurred since Elizabeth’s transition, The Power of Love narrates one family’s story of how they opened their spiritual gifts to see, hear, and feel—and to know beyond any doubt—their daughter never left their side.
